It starts with the thought of the impending work coming to the students' mind and they sidetracking it thinking that they have enough time. And this goes on and on until there is no time left. Then the truth hits them like a bolt of lightning that there no time left. Time to freak out right?
Not necessarily. These problems are the part and parcels of student life and are quite regular faced by nearly all students worldwide. So grab your coffee and prepare to pull an all-nighter. Sleep will have to be your enemy if you want to pull it off successfully. Just rouse your inner essay writer and start reading the tips below.
Take a deep breath and calm those racing nerves
Having a nervous breakdown may sound like a much-welcomed way out, but it's not a solution. To do it, you have to believe that you can do it. Panicking won't help, but keeping a calm mind and can do attitude most definitely will.
Switch off all connections with outside world
To pull this off, you'll need isolation, concentration and focus. You can't achieve that with your phone beeping every two minutes. They are time killers, so banish them, for now.
Create an outline of what you want to convey
Now that you have removed all the distractions, it’s time to get down to business. Make a clear outline of what you want to write. Get the ideas down to paper. They will be scrambled at first, but only after putting them out you’ll start to see your essay take shape.
Don’t skip the research
Never sacrifice the research to make up for lost time. Your research is the backbone of your piece. You can't just sacrifice it. Go through some sources, try to use Wikipedia for it contains references and citations, where you can get your source material. It'll take some time of course, but it will bear fruits in the end.
Type it all down
Unless specified, type your essay on the document itself rather than handwriting it. Your typing speed will be better than your writing speed so make use of it. Moreover, it lets you correct mistakes easily.
Revise it thoroughly
After typing it all down and getting the piece completed, take a deep breath. You’re not done yet. Revise what you’ve just done and correct those mistakes. Only after revising the entire piece at least twice can you finally lie down.
Once you are done, you can finally reward yourself. Go on, give yourself the treat you deserve for finally, you've done it.
